Man Charged with stealing $60,000 worth of Avocados

The Halton Regional Police Service has arrested a Brampton man in connection with the theft of a tractor-trailer containing $60,000 worth of avocados from a trucking yard on Industry Street, Oakville.

It is alleged that on October 15, 2018, a 27 year old man gained access to a locked yard by cutting a lock. At this time, the tractor-trailer containing avocados was stolen from the yard.

The tractor-trailer was recovered in Etobicoke the following day and the trailer was recovered in Scarborough on October 26, 2018. The avocados were no longer with the trailer at the time of the recovery.

On October 30, 2018, the Halton Regional Police Service arrested the 27 year old man from Brampton in connection with this incident. The suspect is facing the following charges:
