The May 2018 Oakville Centre performances is filled with music with a little humour thrown in. Lighthouse kicks off the month with great tunes. Oakville Children's Choir and the Oakville Symphony will add a classical feel. Sean McCann of Great Big Sea will captivate you with his incredible story of strength. We end the month with an opportunity to smile.

Lighthouse will perform on Friday, May 4th at 8:00 PM.
Recognized as one of the best performing acts of their time, they toured 300 days a year including sold out performances at Carnegie Hall, the Fillmore East, Fillmore West, Expo ‘70 in Japan and the Isle of Wight Festival in England.
Free-wheeling, high-spirited – the music of Lighthouse mirrored the times. Their story is interwoven with the history of late twentieth century Canada. Their rise to fame coincided with a new awareness of Canadian culture, encouraged by the government of Pierre Elliot Trudeau.
Ticket price is $72 per person.

Palestinian Portraits II will be performed on May 6th at 6:00 PM
Zaytouna School of Culture & Art proudly presents Palestinian Portraits - لوحات فلسطينية. The show features a number of performances expressing the spirit of the Palestinian folklore. The Folkloric Scenes are enriched with colorful costumes, different themes and creative moves that will give you a special flavor of the authentic Palestinian culture. Our pieces use music and dance to tell the Palestinian stories that lived through the years, in the most artistic and creative way. For those who love performing arts and music, this is a show not to be missed!

Sean McCann will share his story on Thursday, May 10th at 8:00 PM.
Renowned performer Séan McCann – formerly of Great Big Sea – will present his captivating story about surviving abuse, battling addiction, becoming sober, and pursuing his dream of making a difference in the world.
Séan uses a combination of music and anecdotes to portray the battles many individuals face and to shed light on the stigmas associated with mental health.

Regular: All other seats $50*

Ticket and Location Information
Most of the May 2018 Oakville Centre performances will take place in the main auditorium. Tickets for May 2018 can be purchased at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Art's Box office located at 146 Navy Street. Box Office hours are from Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and on Saturday from 1:00 PM to the beginning of a performance. Tickets are also available online.
