Come one come all this Friday as Downtown Oakville comes alive with Midnight Madness, the festival that has “something for everyone.” From food stands, live music, specialty stores, kid zones and various other attractions, make sure to come out and celebrate!

Midnight Madness attractions

  • Food Stands including Coriander Green, SugarSuite, Oliver’s, and other culinary delights.
  • Licensed Patios including the King’s Arms, Piazza Bistro, and numerous Oakville favourites and various Dine in restaurants.
  • Ice Cream & Dessert from your neighborhood sweet tooth caterers.
  • Retailers including Rots, Lululemon, Swiss Interior, Starbucks, and even specialty stores like the British Grocer.
  • Live Music.
  • Activities hosted by Glow Furniture, Boleo Dance Studio, SINCO and others.

This year, the festival looks to engage guests with a tremendous array of attractions to make Midnight Madness a splendid delight! Those looking to attend should take note that there will be a free shuttle bus from the Oakville Go Station. To that end, despite the construction taking place in the area, the organizers want guests to rest easy knowing that there will be plenty of activities going on in the side streets.

Midnight Madness

Coriander Green is a local favourite that made its debut in 2005 WHEN Cher Harminder started the venture with his wife Sheena.

“Midnight Madness is one of the greatest events in Downtown Oakville,” says a spokesperson from Coriander Green, one of the restaurants taking part in the festival. “We have been participating for the last 15 years and this event really brings the community together and supports downtown Oakville businesses. Despite the reconstruction of Lakeshore Road E, we are here to keep the same spirit, the same hope, and the same support that has made this event a success! We will be offering 10% OFF on pickup orders util July 30 2019 Promo Code: CURRY MADNESS 2019 so come on out and meet us!”

Dave Despin, owner of Tribeca Coffee Co. a cafe that’s taking part in the festival commented on his excitement for the event. “This is our fourth year that we will be taking part and we always look forward to it. This year, the construction is new but we’re looking forward to meeting the crowds that are going to bring the energy! We’re out here past regular office hours so come on out!”

Tribeca Coffee Company

Tribeca Coffee Company was founded in 2016 as a discernible speicalty coffee house in the heart of Downtown Oakville, ON.

“We’re excited to welcome back the community for our 42nd annual Midnight Madness event!” says  Sharlene Plewman, Executive Director of the BIA. “With over 100 businesses offering incredible sales, 4 stages, 3 busker pitches, delicious food and lots for the kids to enjoy it’s sure to be another great night!  We have worked closely with Halton Regional Police and the Town of Oakville to ensure a safe event around the revitalization project and thank the community for coming out to support our Downtown merchants at this longstanding Oakville tradition!”

Midnight Madness is celebrating 42 years of community fun! This is Oakville’s largest retail event of the year spanning over 6 blocks of free family-friendly entertainment and amazing deals available until midnight.  For more on the different retailers at Midnight Madness, check out Dowtown Oakville’s blog.
