Musikay is seeking experienced and motivated choral singers to make glorious music with other like-minded musicians in the Oakville and Hamilton areas. The ensemble has been carefully into one of the most dynamic, challenging, and rewarding choral groups in the region.

Eight singers in all voice parts are invited to audition to become part of this exciting ensemble. Interested singers should have at least three years of choral experience, strong musicianship, be able to work a cappella, care for detail and fine work, and have solid self-preparation skills and discipline. Hallmarks of Musikay include crisp intonation, blended sound, and superb phrasing. Musikay focuses mainly on renaissance and baroque music, but also performs Canadian repertoire.

There are three programs per season, and each program is performed three times. The first is at the end of October in 2016. Program two takes place in mid-February 2017, and the final program is the Messiah which will be performed at the end of April 2017. The performances take place in Oakville and Hamilton. Rehearsals take place in Hamilton two weekends prior to each program.

Remuneration is based on a profit sharing system. Historically, singers have received $500.00 per program.
