This summer, Halton Region is offering funding and mentorship to 12 student entrepreneurs through the Summer Company program. A provincial entrepreneurship initiative, Summer Company helps youth between the ages of 15 and 29 run their own summer businesses. The competitive program is co-ordinated locally through the Halton Region Small Business Centre annually and participants are selected from across the region.

Entrepreneurship encourages innovation, job creation and economic growth, which is a part of Halton Region's four-year Strategic Action Plan. Supporting today's youth with the tools and guidance they need to bring their business ideas to life will provide a strong economic future for the region.
