$5,000 worth of power tools recovered: one man charged

On March 31, 2018, several unknown suspects attended a commercial business in the Bristol Circle and Coventry Rd area of Oakville. The suspects forced open a work trailer and stole over $5,000 worth of power tools. The suspects were observed on video fleeing from the scene in a white pick-up truck.

On April 2, 2018, The Halton Police received information that the stolen tools were posted for sale on Kijiji. The Halton Police coordinated a meeting with one of the suspects resulting in the recovery of over five thousand dollars worth of tools.

Joel MONGRAIN (36) from Caledon was arrested and charged with Possession of Property obtained by Crime over $5000 and Breach of Probation and held for bail.
