79 Year Old Burlington Woman missing since Tuesday, July 5, 2016

Halton Regional Police sent out a media release on Wednesday, July 7, 2016 at 1:00 PM seeking the public's assistance in locating an elderly woman who had gone missing. Since that time, there have been four additional updates. The police have now requested surrounding communities be on the look out.

The lady who is missing is Helen Roberston and suffers from Alzheimers. Ms. Robertson lives in the Millcroft community on Millcroft Park Drive of Burlington. She was last seen at home. The closest intersection is Appleby Line and Upper Middle Road. Appleby Line bisects Dundas Street, and is the second road west of Bronte Creek.

Helen is described as:

  1. White, 5'2, 110 lbs, white collar length hair, slim build, glasses. Possibly wearing a red, long sleeved collared shirt.
  2. she is known to walk long distances.
  3. Helen often wore mismatched shoes and therefore it is possible she may be wearing other mismatched shoes.

Since she was last seen the police have done an extensive search  the assistance of  SIRT (Search Incident Response Team), and completed an extensive ground search and Arial search with the assistance of the Durham Regional Police Service helicopter. The police have also constantly broadened the search and notified residents requesting that they check any out building, and parking structures.

The latest release was July 9, 2016 at 3:15 PM which re-iterated that the public's assistance in locating Helen was still required. Halton Regional Police ask that should you have seen Helen that you call (905) 825-4747, Extension 2305.
