To mark a half-century of teaching animation at Sheridan, the college is hosting an Animation Day on Campus this Thursday, February 7th.

Graduates of Sheridan’s Animation programs have produced some of the most beloved characters in television and film and have been recognized for their work with Oscars, Golden Globes, Emmys and Annie Awards.

Alumni from the Honours Bachelor of Animation program’s Class of 2009 will attend Animation Day on Campus, representing studios like DreamWorks Animation, Sony Pictures Animation, Warner Bros. and Corus Entertainment.

The event will include screenings of student films from the past 50 years, a ‘wall of success’ displaying a history of Sheridan’s animation programs, a craft-making booth and games. There will also be an opportunity to send best wishes to the three Sheridan graduates who are currently Oscar contenders.

All members of the community, students, faculty and staff are invited to celebrate this momentous occasion.
