Ontario is making it easier for commuters in the Oakville area to take public transit with improvements to the Bronte GO Station.

Two hundred new parking spaces are now available in a new parking lot next to the existing lot at Bronte GO station. The new spaces are part of a larger station improvement project that includes repaving the existing parking lot and rehabilitating the platform canopies.

Oakville residents lead busy lives - getting to work or school, to appointments and all their other commitments should be stress-free. By adding these new parking spots, we are making it easier for GO customers in Oakville to get to where they need to go.

This project is part of the largest infrastructure investment in Ontario's history-more than $130 billion over 10 years, which will support more than 110,000 jobs per year on average, with projects such as roads, bridges, transit systems, schools and hospitals.

Ontario's long-term infrastructure plan will help connect regions, develop new economic opportunities and improve quality of life for Ontarians by supporting critical infrastructure projects in cities, towns, and rural and remote communities all across the province.

Improving daily commutes is part of the government's plan to build Ontario up. The four-part plan includes investing in people's talents and skills, making the largest investment in public infrastructure in Ontario's history, creating a dynamic, innovative environment where business thrives, and building a secure retirement savings plan.

"We're always looking at ways to make it easier for people to take GO Transit. This parking expansion is an important step in ensuring existing and future customers can get to and from our station with ease." - Greg Percy, President, GO Transit
