Environment Canada has re-issued it's Dec 1-19 Winter Weather Warning again at 6:53 AM on December 1st. The beginning of the storm which started with high winds early this morning is expected to last into the middle or later part of Monday morning, December 2 2019.

Dec 1-19 Winter Weather Warning Time Line

  • 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM freezing drizzle
  • 12:00 PM until Monday 4:00 AM snowfall
  • 4:00 AM to 10 AM freezing rain

The snow fall accumulations is not expected to reach more than 10 cm, however, we may see more along the Lake as the strong the east wind picks up additional humidity.

The actual temperature is going to hover around the freezing mark; however, the windchill is going to make it feel about 7 degrees colder.

Today, we'll experience a constant wind speed in the low to mid 40's with gusts hitting 60 km/h. By this evening the wind speed is expected to drop by 20 km/h with gusts hitting 40 km/h.

When wind speeds reach this level and are combined with ice rain we may experience power disruptions both this morning and and Monday morning.
