Driver of a Black Lexus SUV flees scene after collision

​On the Wednesday, February 26, 2019 at approximately 7:04 pm, the Halton Regional Police Service were dispatched to a two-vehicle collision between Black Lexus SUV and Black Mazda SUV. The collision occurred on Kerr Street, just north of the QEW in Oakville.

Officers quickly arrived on the scene at 7:07 pm and discovered that the driver of Black Lexus SUV who was involved in the collision had fled the scene.

It is believed that the Black Lexus SUV was travelling south on Kerr Street, when for reasons unknown, it lost control. It struck a traffic sign, crossed over the centre concrete median, and struck a northbound Black Mazda SUV.

The Lexus SUV continued on for about 50 meters, exiting the roadway and coming to rest at the tree-line on the east side of Kerr Street, adjacent to the embankment of 16 Mile Creek. The driver exited the vehicle and then fled the scene on foot.

Fortunately, the occupants of the Black Mazda, an 18 year old female and a 13 year old male passenger, sustained no physical injuries in the collision.

The 2 District Response Team continues to investigate this collision, in an attempt to identify the driver of the Black Lexus SUV.
