Drug Charges Laid Against Oakville Resident

On January 10, 2019, members of the Halton Regional Police Service’s Drug and Human Trafficking Unit concluded a cocaine trafficking investigation in Oakville. With the assistance of the Halton Regional Police Service Tactical and Rescue Unit, one Oakville resident was arrested and drug search warrants were executed at his residence, vehicles and storage unit in Oakville.

As a result of the searches, officers seized:

  • 129.5 grams of cocaine
  • a cocaine press
  • a digital scale
  • cellular phones
  • over 4 kgs of dried cannabis
  • $7210 cash
  • a 2010 Mercedes E550

The total value of drugs seized is estimated to be approximately $38,000.

The 24 year-old Oakville resident is charged with:

  1. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking cocaine (Controlled Drugs and Substances Act)
  2. Possession of cannabis for the purpose of sale (Federal Cannabis Act).
