Fatal Collision in Oakville's Winston Park

At approximately 1:13pm on Wednesday 11th of December, 2019, the Halton Regional Police Service was notified of a motor vehicle collision that had occurred at the intersection of Winston Park Drive and Portland Drive in the Town of Oakville.

This intersection is located in Winston Park the commercial area which is south of Dundas Street, west of Winston Churchill Blvd, north of the QEW, and east of  Highway 403.

The initial investigation revealed that a Toyota Corolla was travelling westbound on Portland Drive and was struck by a Ford Escape travelling northbound on Winston Park Drive.

The passenger in the Toyota Corolla was transported to Credit Valley Hospital with life threatening injuries.

At 9:45 PM Halton Regional Police released the following statement:

"Police have received information from the Coroner's Office that despite efforts by medical staff, the passenger has died as a result of injuries sustained in the collision." ​

The Collision Reconstruction Unit has taken carriage of the investigation. Any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police are asked to call 905-825-4747 ext: 5065.

At this point no charges have been laid.
