Graffiti-related incidents: Oakville young offender charged

A Young Offender has been arrested and charged after an investigation into a series of graffiti-related incidents that took place across the Town of Oakville during the month of July.

On July 25, 2018, the Halton Regional Police Service charged a 17-year-old male (of Oakville), with five counts of Mischief Under $5,000. The individual was released on a Promise to Appear and Undertaking.

During the month of July, the Halton Regional Police Service investigated reports of blue and red spray paint on buildings and signs at a number of locations in Oakville. The graffiti included offensive language and images. Some of the locations/areas in Oakville that were vandalized by this individual include:

  1. 3307 Lakeshore Road West
  2. 3057 Seneca Drive
  3. 2363 North Service Road (Deerfield Golf Club)
  4. Seneca Drive and West Street
  5. 2405 Rebecca Street (St. Dominic Elementary School)

Investigators believe there are more locations in Oakville which were vandalized with graffiti by this same individual. This investigation is on​going.
