At the Regular Board Meeting held on November 4, 2014, the Board of Trustees announced a three-year extension to the employment contract for Director of Education, Paula Dawson.
“Director Dawson’s current contract is in effect until August 31, 2015,” says Diane Rabenda, Chair of the Board. “We have been very pleased with the work she has undertaken thus far, and are confident that under her steady leadership our Catholic school district will continue to thrive.”
Trustees voted to extend Ms. Dawson’s contract for the period September 1, 2015 through August 31, 2018.
“I consider it a privilege and a source of great personal and professional satisfaction to be able to play an active role in supporting, strengthening and sustaining the mission of our Catholic schools in Halton,” commented Paula Dawson. “I am humbled by the confidence the Board of Trustees has placed in my leadership, and I look forward with great pleasure to our ongoing collaboration in the interest of our students.”
Paula Dawson has been an educator for more than 27 years, serving the students in the communities of the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario, London District Catholic School Board, Wellington Catholic District School Board and the Halton Catholic District School Board. She has over 14 years of diverse leadership experience, culminating with her appointment in August 2013 to the position of Director of Education for the Halton Catholic District School Board.
