The Trustees of the Halton Catholic District School Board have announced that in early June they will host four town hall meetings across the municipalities served by the Board. The town hall meetings are intended to gather feedback from parents and ratepayers that will be used to guide the Board’s strategic planning process.

In June 2010, the Board approved its current multi-year strategic plan, Fulfilling the Promise: Strategic Directions for 2010-2015. The Board has begun its preliminary review and development of the next multi-year plan, which will outline the Board’s strategic directions moving forward, beyond 2015.

“We are currently in the early planning and development stages of our Board’s next multi-year plan, and thought this would be an opportune moment to gather the feedback of our constituents,” says Diane Rabenda, Chair of the Board. “Parents and ratepayers who attend the town hall meetings will have an opportunity to share their perspective on the issues related to education that are important to them. We want to know how we are doing. Are we meeting the needs of our constituents? What can we do to improve our effectiveness as a school district?”
