Each year in November, Halton celebrates Entrepreneurship Week with various events and activities that support and foster the development and growth of Entrepreneurship.

This year there are a host of events for entrepreneurs to take part in from Monday, November 18th – Friday, November 22nd.

Join the Halton Small Business Centre and HalTech for an informative and engaging series of events around Halton. This week has been put together specifically for YOU, the entrepreneurs of Halton.

November 18, 2013: PEO – Oakville Chapter: Engineers as Entrepreneurs

Halton Entrepreneurship Week opens with the Professional Engineers of Ontario: (PEO) Oakville Chapter. Are you an engineer with an entrepreneurial spirit? Join HalTech, PEO and NSERC for Entrepreneurship in Engineering. Guest speakers include HATCH representatives and Anthony Khoraych of ATA. Grow your network of success with this great opportunity to connect and learn!

November 19, 2013:  BitNet:  Edu-Tech in Halton

Online education is a growing trend in all levels of education. Join HalTech and BitNet as we learn about the entrepreneurs in Halton Region and the great strides they are making in Edu-Tech. Reuben Tozman will be the keynote speaker, with three more successful edu-tech entrepreneurs sharing their story and joining a panel for your questions!

November 20, 2013:  Halton Small Business Centre: Finances and Marketing for Business

Finance and Marketing are two skills that no business, big or small, can be without. Join HalTech and the Halton Small Business Centre as we provide you with the skills to be successful!  Two streams will be made available to fit your needs. Chris Carder of Kinetic Café will be the keynote speaker during lunch to discuss the Success in Failing.

November 21, 2013:  Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF) Information Seminar

CYBF understands young and emerging entrepreneurs, and we have been working together to help increase their chances of success since 1996. Our innovative and flexible services are designed to address the common challenges entrepreneurs may face in the early stages, and we provide the vital support and guidance needed for long-term success.

 November 21, 2013:  Halton Business Showcase

What inspires success more than hearing from those who have achieved it? Join HalTech and the Halton Small Business Centre as we present the Halton Business Showcase.  Clients will be sharing their secrets to success and we will have a networking business showcase. Pythons’ Pit will be coming out so bring your big ideas!

November 22, 2103:  Art and Innovation, Artists as Entrepreneurs

Business skills can make a big difference for artists. The right business savvy can help artists build a network, discover opportunities, and turn struggle into success.  Join HalTech and the Office of Undergraduate Research at Sheridan College to learn how to complement your talent and become the success you know you can be!
