"This is an exciting time for Halton Healthcare. The major infrastructure projects at our three hospitals are well in hand. Now we are embarking on a strategic planning process to chart the future pathway for our hospitals," said Denise Hardenne, President and CEO, Halton Healthcare. "We are reaching out to the people in the communities we serve in Halton Hills, Milton and Oakville and inviting them to join the conversation about Pathway 2020 and help us create our vision."
When Halton Healthcare was established in 1998, the Mission and Vision were clear: revitalize and expand the hospitals to match the growth and aging needs of the communities of Oakville and Milton. This direction grew to include Halton Hills when Georgetown Hospital joined Halton Healthcare in 2006.
"The completed Georgetown Hospital project is delivering amazing results. This spring, we will break ground on a significant expansion of Milton District Hospital. In December we will open the New Oakville Hospital," said Ms Hardenne. "We are developing strategies to leverage these investments in facilities and technology to improve the patient experience. We are reaching out to our patients and their families, our communities and our healthcare partners to hear what they have to say."
