HCDSB Approves 2015-2016 Budget Estimates

At the Regular Board Meeting held on June 16, 2015, the Halton Catholic District School Board approved the 2015-2016 Budget Estimates in the amount of $361,667,264.

"Meeting the needs of our students is at the forefront of every budgetary consideration,” says Paula Dawson, Director of Education. “Staff have worked hard to achieve a balanced budget, and we are pleased with what we were able to accomplish in light of fiscal constraints and limitations.”

The Board’s 2015-2016 Budget Estimates outline an operating in-year surplus of $76,000. Revenue has been estimated at $361.7 million. Expenses have been estimated at $361.6 million.

The Board estimates an ADE* of 22,124.5 elementary students and 10,247.11 secondary students for the 2015-2016 school year, representing an overall increase in student enrolment of 2.5% from the 2014-2015 Revised Estimates projections.

The final Budget Estimates will be submitted to the Ministry of Education by June 30, 2015.
