Students in the Halton Catholic District School Board begin classes today for the start of the 2015-2016 school year.
“We are pleased to welcome all of our new and returning students,” says Director of Education, Paula Dawson. “We look forward to an engaging and rewarding year ahead for all.”
The Board is still accepting new student registrations for the 2015-2016 school year. The new School Finder Tool will allow parents and guardians to access information around school locations, boundaries and programs. Parents and guardians are also welcome to contact their local Catholic school directly for more information.
Please note that the following documents are required at the time of registration at a Halton Catholic elementary school:
- Proof of age
- Roman or Eastern Rite Catholic baptismal certificate for the student or the parent/guardian
- Updated immunization records (Immunization Card or Letter of Exemption)
- Proof of address

Parents should note that in order to access student transportation information, either online or by telephone (1-888-803-8660), it is necessary to know their child’s Ontario Education Number (OEN). This number can be found on a child’s report card or obtained from the school.
As the summer winds down and the school year begins, the Board reminds all motorists to exercise caution and to be mindful when driving near school zones, crosswalks and school buses.
