Every four years, in consultation with stakeholders such as the Citizens’ Reference Panel, community groups, business leaders and the public at large, Halton Regional Council develops a plan that sets out priorities and establishes a strategic direction.

This month, we will host a Public Roundtable Meeting to review the Region’s draft Strategic Action Plan and I invite you to attend.

The public meeting will be held in the Auditorium at the Halton Regional Centre, 1151 Bronte Road, Oakville, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21.

There will be a short presentation from Halton staff followed by small facilitated discussions where participants will work with members of the Citizens’ Reference Panel. You’ll have a chance to meet staff, talk with Panel members, review our draft Action Plan and provide comments. Light refreshments will be provided.

The Public Roundtable is a great way to hear first-hand what the Citizens’ Reference Panel has been working on and get a better understanding of Halton Region’s strategic planning process.

You can register to attend the meeting at halton.ca/PRM or by dialing 311. If you are unable to attend in person, you can review the draft plan online at halton.ca/actionplan and provide your comments using the online feedback form.

Working together, we can shape a bright future for Halton! I hope you will be able to join us.

As always, if you have any Regional concerns or comments you would like to share, please feel free to email me at [email protected]. You can also find me on Twitter@garycarrhalton, LinkedIn or Facebook.
