Homicide at a residence on Marine Drive in Bronte

On Sunday, August 25, 2019 at 8:11 pm the Halton Regional Police Service received a 911 call from a residence on Marine Drive in Oakville (Bronte). Police were advised of an altercation between two males at the residence.​

Marine Drive runs parallel to and one block south of Lakeshore Road West from Bronte Road to 3rd Line.

Upon arrival, the police found a 74-year-old male suffering with obvious trauma. The 74 year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. At that time a 40-year-old male was arrested at the residence on Marine Drive.

That 40 year-old man from Oakville has been charged with Second Degree Murder.

The deceased was the father of the accused.

The accused appeared in court on August 26, 2019 and has been remanded in custody until August 29, 2019.
