Oakville Place's new tenant, L.L. Bean doors opens on August 25, 2019. The 13,000 sq ft store takes over the recently vacated Pusateri's.  On opening day the first 100 people in line receive an exclusive offer.

L.L. Bean entered into Canada in late 2018 with the launch of a Canadian specific website. The Canadian catalogue launched in late June. Also L.L. Bean will open up unique shops inside specific Hudson Bay Stores across the country.

We will no longer pay duty or use US dollars.

“We’ve had a long, meaningful relationship with Canadian customers for decades...” said Stephen Smith, President and CEO of L.L.Bean. “As a Maine-based company that shares a lot of commonalities with our northern neighbours, we’re eager to be infusing a bit of the Maine essence and L.L.Bean brand into the Canadian market.”

This is another win for Oakville Place RioCan. Loosing Sears was a blow to Oakville Place, and the second major set back happened when Pusateri's shuttered its doors in August 2018.

However, it has steadily bounced back. The Sear's location renovation has divided the vacated space into 4 sections. The construction is well underway, and most of the space has been leased.
