M & M Variety in Kerr Village Robbed: Oakville Resident Charged

The Halton Regional Police have charged an Oakville resident after actively investigating a gun point robbery that occurred at the M & M Variety store in Oakville on September 20th, 2017. As a result of the investigation a suspect was identified for the robbery as well as several other crimes in the Oakville area.

On October 2nd, 2017 members of the 20 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau executed a Criminal Code Search Warrant at a residence in Oakville and subsequently arrested the suspect. Arrested is Dennise NUNES 41yrs of Oakville. Mr. NUNES is charged with:

  • Robbery with a firearm
  • Wear disguise with intent
  • Break & enter
  • Theft under $5000
  • Mischief to property under $5000
  • Failing to comply with Probation

Mr. NUNES is being held in custody and will appear before the courts in Milton.

On Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at approximately 9:30pm, an unknown male wearing a black balaclava robbed the M & M Variety store at 443 Kerr Street, Oakville.

The store is located south of Speers and north of Stuart on the East side. The Halton Regional Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance identifying robbery suspect from Oakville.

The male, who was armed with a plastic pellet gun, demanded the teller give him money. A struggled ensued between the teller and the suspect. The suspect fled the variety store on a bicycle southbound on Kerr Street with an undisclosed amount of cash. The teller was unharmed.

​The male suspect is described as male white, approximately 25-30 years of age, approximately 6' tall, 200 lbs, wearing a grey Reebok sweatshirt (turned inside out) over a red t-shirt, beige cargo pants and dark shoes with white laces.
