Man found dead in Southwest Oakville Snow Bank

On Sunday, March 8, 2015 at approximately 12:30pm, a male was discovered by a member of the public lying face down in the snow in a parking lot on Wyecroft Road in the Town of Oakville.

Emergency Medical Services attended the scene and confirmed the male was deceased.

The deceased is a 31 year old male, transient, with no fixed address.

Investigation surrounding the circumstances of the males’ death have determined that foul play is not a consideration and this matter is a coroner’s investigation.

A post mortem has been scheduled and is expected to be conducted within the next couple of days.

The deceased's identity will not be released.

Halton Regional Police were called on Sunday afternoon March 8, 2015 at 12:30 PM to industrial area off Wyecroft Road and Fourth Line in South West Oakville.

At the scene they found a man frozen in a snowbank with vital signs absent. Emergency services were immediately called, and once they arrived at the scene the person was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. The corner is currently retrieving the body.

At this time, the police are unsure of the circumstances surrounding the death, and are investigating further to determine the identity of the victim as well as the nature of the incident.

Paramedics and the Halton Regional Police Department have confirmed this information.
