Maple Grove United Church of Canada is celebrating the presentation of The Maple Grove United Church First Nation Scholarship to Cyndil Corbiere.

On September 24th, a celebration took place at the University of Sudbury at Laurentian University to celebrate one of its students, Cyndil Corbiere.

This past summer, the Maple Grove United Church Scholarship was established to assist Indigenous students in meeting their financial needs during the course of their full-time studies within the Laurentian Federation. Cyndil Corbiere, transitioning to the University of Sudbury's Indigenous Studies program from Kenjgewin Teg Education Institute (KTEI) located in M'Chigeeng on Manitoulin Island, is the first student to be awarded this very generous scholarship.

As a recipient, she is now entitled to benefit from the annual scholarship of $7,500 as long as she continues to meet the requirements of the scholarship and remain in good academic standing.

Congratulations Cyndil! We wish you the best of luck as you continue your journey!
