Moving Today for Tomorrow

Transportation is one of the biggest issues impacting people and businesses today in the Greater Toronto/Hamilton Area (GTHA). Moving Today for Tomorrow is a one day symposium focused on bringing experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities related to transportation issues. The Oakville Chamber of Commerce and the Professional Engineers of Ontario Oakville Chapter (PEO) are pleased to host this Transportation Symposium on Friday, May 2nd at the Oakville Conference Centre.

"Transportation is a multi-faceted issue that effects infrastructure, finance, environment and our quality of life," says PEO Chair Fred Datoo. "We are pleased to be partnering with community and business leaders from CN, Siemens, Hamilton Port Authority, Hatch Mott MacDonald, and the John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport, to discuss this important issue."

Participants will have the opportunity to hear experts present on safety, trends, innovation, barriers to success, business and engineering opportunities for both the movement of goods and people with a special focus on the GTHA.

"We are pleased to be partnering up with the PEO again," says Chamber Chair Orla Johnston. "We have a number of expert speakers attending this event, and we are very pleased that the Honourable Lisa Raitt, Minister of Transport and MP for Halton, has made time in her busy schedule to be our keynote speaker."

The symposium takes place on Friday, May 2nd, 2014 from 7:30 am (registration); 8 am - 4 pm (event) at the Oakville Conference Centre, 2525 Wyecroft Road, Oakville.The cost to attend is: early bird rate until April 15 - $47.50, after April 15 - $60, student rate $30
