Nine Year Old Girl Struck by Van on Parkglen Avenue

On Monday, October 23, 2017 at approximately 8:25PM a Nine year old Oakville girl was struck as she travelled on Parkglen Avenue in the town of Oakville. Parkglen runs parallel to and west of 3rd Line south of Pine Glen Road in the community of Westmount.

The vehicle, a 2014 Dodge Caravan, was driven by a 55 year old Milton man who at the time of the collision was travelling eastbound. Speed and impairment were not factors in this collision.

The pedestrian sustained what appeared to be serious head injuries, and as a result was transported to McMaster Children's Hospital in Hamilton where she is remains in serious but stable condition.

The collision on Parkglen Avenue remains under investigation by the Halton Regional Police and any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police are asked to contact Constable Jenn Dewar of 20 Division (Oakville) at 905-825-4747 ext. 2205.
