Oakville 19 year-old arrested regarding August 22nd stabbing

On August 22, 2019, at approximately 5:50 pm, the Halton Regional Police Service responded to a stabbing in a commercial plaza located on Cross Avenue in the Town of Oakville. The victim, who is an employee of a local business, suffered a knife wound from an unknown suspect.

The victim was transported to the hospital where he required surgery for the stab wound.  The victim has since been released.

Investigators believe that prior to the stabbing, the victim was involved in a road rage incident that may have been a catalyst to the violent assault.

On August 29, 2019, investigators from the 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau arrested an Oakville 19 year-old.

The Oakville 19 year-old has been charged with:

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose

They were held pending a bail hearing the be heard on August 30, 2019.
