The Oakville Chamber of Commerce hosted a full house at the launch party celebrating the creation of its Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs Group (YPEG.) The event was held on Nov. 27 at the new Oakville office of Pricewaterhouse Coopers located at 354 Davis Road.
"YPEG is a group of dedicated, talented young professionals and entrepreneurs ranging in age from 19-40. It is a forum to engage young professionals and entrepreneurs through connection, collaboration and learning opportunities that enhance and support the Oakville business community," said Allyson Angus, chair of the YPEG committee.
"We are thrilled to launch our YPEG group," said Orla Johnston, chair of the Oakville Chamber. "As an organization, the chamber wants to reach out and connect with and engage our future leaders. We need to tap into the energy and talent of Oakville's young professionals and entrepreneurs."
By leveraging the credibility and established infrastructure of the chamber, an opportunity is created to connect YPEG members with senior business leaders. The chamber provides its YPEG members with the chance to participate in mentorship, expand their networks, heighten their profiles and be a part of and influence the Oakville business eco-system.
YPEG members encourage other young professionals and entrepreneurs to join them as members of the Oakville Chamber of Commerce.
