Every year Oakville residents spend countless hours volunteering their time to make our town a better place to live, work and play. The community is once again honouring Oakville champions who positively contribute to the life and spirit of the town.

Nominations are now open for the 18th Annual Community Spirit Awards. The awards recognize outstanding people, groups and businesses in seven categories.

Nominations will be accepted until Wednesday, April 17th at 4 p.m.

Community Spirit Awards Categories

  • Access Award, sponsored by Access Abilities
  • Arts Award, sponsored by The Oakville Beaver
  • Group Volunteer Award, sponsored by FirstOntario Credit Union
  • Heritage Award, sponsored by Genworth Financial Canada
  • Individual Volunteer Award, sponsored by the Town of Oakville
  • Senior Award, sponsored by Chartwell Waterford Retirement Residence
  • Youth Award, sponsored by RBC Royal Bank

This year’s Community Spirit Awards presentation occurs on Thursday, June 6th. This event takes place at Oakville’s Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre.

Nomination details are available online and at all town recreation facilities, Town Hall and Oakville Public Library branches. Please submit your nomination form online at oakville.ca. Nominate Oakville champions or a champion today!
