The power has been interrupted to customers on Park Ave. A tree has fallen down on some wires and the transformer feeding 12 customers has to be isolated in order to repair the problem.
We here at Oakville Hydro want to provide you our customers with a quick update on the power interruption in Oakville tonight/last night. We were part of the much broader interruption that spread across most of the Greater Toronto Area. With the intense storms that happened throughout the GTA, Hydro One experienced major flooding and a failure at one of their transmission facilities serving among others - Oakville TS (which provides service to the Town of Oakville and the City of Mississauga). After much work we have restored power to all our customers but we would like to ask you to cut down your power usage until Hydro One has repaired the problem and restore full power to our Oakville TS.
