Trafalgar Road Corridor Planning Study Open house will be on Monday, October 21, 2013 at Oakville Town Hall's South Atrium.
Your input is important!
The Town of Oakville appreciates your feedback and ideas and we encourage you to get involved.
At this open house, the project team will:
- Provide an overview of the existing development within the study area
- Introduce the study’s guiding principles
- Identify key opportunity sites for future intensification and/or redevelopment
- Address public comments and concerns in relation to the key sites
This is your opportunity to learn more about the study area, provide feedback on the key opportunity sites, and share your ideas on future land uses and built form along the Trafalgar Road corridor.
The focus of this study is to examine the existing land uses along the Trafalgar Road corridor between the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) and Dundas Street and determine future opportunities for redevelopment and intensification as well as appropriate implementation policies to accommodate intensification, as outlined in the Livable Oakville Plan.
Trafalgar Road provides a north/south link between Highway 407 to the north, and Lakeshore Road to the south. Trafalgar Road is a regional road under the jurisdiction of Halton Region.
The goal of the corridor is to provide a balanced transportation system that accommodates multi-modal transportation, including transit and active transportation (walking and cycling).
