CONGRATULATIONS ANDREW JOHNSTON!

The draw for the Dinner for Two Anywhere in the World raffle took place at the Community Celebration Event at Sheridan College Theatre. In front of a suspenseful audience, Brad Park, CEO, United Way Oakville and Bill Stevens, Board of Directors Chair, United Way Oakville drew the two lucky first and second prize draw winners.

The first-place winner was Andrew Johnston, a student at Humber College studying International Business. Andrew bought multiple raffle tickets to give to his family and friends for Christmas, and luckily for him, kept one for himself. He has narrowed down his possible destinations to Thailand, Japan, or Turkey - but doesn't know who he's taking with him yet!

The second place winner was Renato Medeiros from Oakville Hydro Corporation. Renato won a weekend luxury car rental from Mercedes-Benz Oakville as well as an overnight golf package at Taboo Golf Resort in Muskoka. Congratulations!

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's raffle, helping United Way Oakville reach its 2013 campaign goal of $4.35 million.

Special thank you to Corporate Travelers, Mercedes-Benz Oakville and Taboo Golf Resort for donating the amazing prizes.

I am so appreciated of everyone who has supported United Way this year - the companies, organizations, individuals and labour unions. Your generosity is truly inspiring.

I would also like to thank Tim Johnston, the entire 2013 Campaign Cabinet, and all the volunteers for their outstanding efforts. Your hard work and dedication has shown that together we can inspire hope and create opportunities for a better life for all. - Brad Park, CEO, United Way Oakville
