Oakville Cyclist hit by motorist in Glen Abbey

Officers with Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) are continuing their investigation into a collision between a motorist and an Oakville cyclist in Glen Abbey and are encouraging witnesses who have not yet spoken with them to come forward.

On Friday, July 21, 2017 at approximately 2:20 p.m., a 56-year-old woman reported that she was cycling southbound on Nottinghill Gate near Pilgrims Way in Oakville when a collision involving her and another vehicle occurred. The woman subsequently fell from her bicycle onto the roadway and was later assisted by passersby.

The woman was transported to hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries for observation.

The investigation is ongoing by the Collision Reconstruction Unit.
