However, they are not in the same order as Tripadvisor because OakvilleNews.Org's ranking was based on the percentage of reviews that gave a property the highest percentage of excellent and very good ratings.
- Homewood Suites by Hilton is located just north of the QEW and west of Winston Churchill. It is rated at 4.5/5, with 63% of reviews at excellent and 31% rate at very good out of 394 reviews. It is also the most expensive Oakville Hotel. Homewood Suites is rated as a 3 star property. It is located within walking distance of the Winston Churchill Entertainment complex.
- Staybridge Hotel Suites is located just south of the QEW and west of Bronte Road. It is classified as a 3 star hotel and has received a 4.5/5 rating by reviewers. It has the fewest number of reviews at 144; however, 59% give it an excellent, and 31% give it a very good rating.
- Country Inn & Suites by Carlson is located just south of the QEW and west of Winston Churchill. This property is 2 storeys, and has no elevator. It has 2.5 star rating. It has 4.5/5 rating by Tripadvisor reviewers. 86 percent of reviews give it a rating of excellent or very good. If you have mobility issues you'll want to make sure to book a room on the main floor.
- Hilton Garden Inn is located in the same area as Country Inn Suites and is classified as a 3 star property. It has been reviewed 485 times of which 84 percent rate this property at excellent or very good.
- Sandman Hotel a low rise property like most Oakville hotels. It located just south of the QEW and west of Burloak Drive. It has a rating of 4/5; however, it has 83% of reviews ranking it as either excellent or very good, out 400 reviews. It is considered a 3 star hotel. It has two restaurants attached to the property which are Chopped Steakhouse and Denny's.

Oakville B&B's
With just three B&B's listed via Google you'll want to think about what is important for you. Though Freeman House appears, it has been excluded because there is no website, and their voice mail is full. The two other properties are listed alphabetically:
Melfort Cottage is located east side of the 16 Mile Creek within walking distance of Downtown Oakville and the Oakville GO station. The host does live on the property. I've personally stayed here while we had a small renovation done. I found the experience pleasant.
Walnut House is one of the few properties that was designed to be a B&B. It is just across the 16 Mile Creek and closest to Downtown Oakville. When the property was built a large walnut tree was carefully preserved.
Oakville Airbnb
Airbnb is the lastest player to offer short-term accommodation in Oakville. It offers a wide range of accommodations from one bedrooms with shared bathrooms, to luxury homes. Prices range substantially from $36 per night to $205. Airbnb does have a rating system, called Superhosts. For a property to receive a Superhost badge they must meet the criteria outlined by Airbnb.
