Oakville Man Charged in College Park Stabbing

In the early morning hours of October 23, 2017, the Halton Regional Police Service responded to a report of a stabbing incident which occurred at a residence on Churchill Avenue in the town of Oakville. Churchill Avenue is located just west of Oakville Place in College Park.

The male victim was taken to hospital, treated for a puncture wound, and released later the same evening. The victim and the accused were known to one another.

The Halton Regional Police Service executed a search warrant at a residence on Churchill Avenue and at a residence on Elm Road, Oakville. The party responsible for the stabbing was located and arrested during the execution of the search warrants.

David THOMPSON (50yrs) of Oakville has been charged with the following offences:

  1. Aggravated assault
  2. Failing to comply with a weapons prohibition

The accused will attend a bail hearing at the Milton courthouse on October 24, 2017.
