Oakville stabbing sends one man to hospital

On Saturday, May 11 2019, Halton Regional Police received a 9-1-1 call at 10:38 PM call about an Oakville stabbing. The stabbing looking place in a private residence.

When Halton Regional Police arrived at the home they found a man was suffering from a stab wound. EMS took the victim to Hamilton General Hospital Trauma Centre in stable condition. He has remained in stable condition.

The police took a second man into custody. The suspect is a 22 year-old man and he is charged with Attempted Murder. The accused is held in custody pending his bail hearing.

The investigation confirmed that the victim and suspect are known to each other. The police stated that this was an isolated incident and there is no risk to the public. The police have not released any further information to respect the privacy of the victim.
