Oakville Teenagers charged with Assault

On September 27th, 2019, at approximately 10:14 pm, Halton Regional Police responded to numerous calls for a disturbance in the area of Queen Mary Drive and Bond Street, in the Town of Oakville.  Upon arrival uniform officers found two teenagers had suffered lacerations that later required stitches.

Investigation at the scene by police revealed that the two injured males and a third male involved were all known to each other.  For reasons that were not disclosed to police, one of the males did not get along with the other which led to an altercation.

All three of the male teenagers brought weapons to altercation that were recovered by police. Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Bureau continued with the investigation and determined that there were no outstanding suspects.

Investigators also determined that there is no information to suggest that there is any additional threat to public safety in the area.

The following parties were arrested and charged accordingly;

1)    18 year-old male

  1. Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  2. Assault with a Weapon
  3. Assault Cause Bodily Harm

2)    18 year-old male

  1. Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
  2. Assault

3)    17 year-old (young offender)

  1. Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  2. Assault with a Weapon

The investigation is still ongoing, and we continue to appeal to members of the public for information that may assist investigators.
