Halton Regional Police officers responded to 67 crime incidents in Oakville, Ontario, from July 5 to 11. Compared to the week before, incidents of crimes dropped by 21.17%.
Monday, July 10, was the busiest day, with 16 reported incidents. QEW West residents reported the greatest number of crimes in this period (9).
In addition, residents reported 20 hit & runs. Oakville residents are reminded to be mindful of their surroundings while driving and to double-check for bikes and pedestrians prior to making turns.
Over the past seven days, Halton police responded to one incident of impaired driving in Oakville. If this rate stayed consistent, there would be 36 incidents a year. In the past six months, there were 89 incidents of impaired driving and 164 in the past year.
