Oakville Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Business Development Bank of Canada, hosted the Annual Small Business Week "Business After Hours Trade Show" for Chamber Members and their colleagues. This year the event had become so popular that over 100 businesses were on hand, often with elaborate displays designed to delight and educate the visitors.
Networking was the highlight of the evening... along with the delicious food provided by the Oakville Conference Centre. The Chamber thinks of every "need".The Blue Jays game was in progress and the Trade Show attendees were welcome to watch it on the huge TV screen brought in for the pleasure of all. It would have been somewhat better if the Blue Jays had won - but no one had to stay home because of the game - nor did they!
The Small Business Week events are first class and require many hands to be so successful. Member sponsors from the Oakville community include; our hosts, the Chamber of Commerce staff, and the owners of Small Business Week across Canada, the Business Development Bank of Canada, BDC. The First Ontario Credit Union, Warren Leppik of Cognition; the Chamber's very talented video creator and owner of Cognition Productions, PWC, and the always professional staff at the Oakville Conference Centre were also a huge part of making this event the success it was.Thank you.
"All businesses were at one time a small business", according to John Sawyer, the Chamber President. So - plan to be successful. Grow your business. There is no better place to start than the Oakville Chamber of Commerce.
