On Wednesday May 29, 2019 the passenger involved in the collision on Valleyridge Drive, a 92-year-old Oakville resident, died as a result of the injuries she sustaind in the collision.
The collision occured on Wednesday May 8th.
At the request of the family, the name of the passenger will not be released.

On Monday May 20th 2019, the driver involved in the collision on Valleyridge Drive, an 84-year-old Burlington resident, died as a result of complications arising from injuries sustained in the collision. The passenger, a 92-year-old woman from Oakville remains in hospital in serious condition.
The collision occurred on Wednesday May 8th.
The driver of the vehicle turned into St. Luke's Anglican Church and the vehicle became stuck after partially driving over the median separating the driveway and the parking lot. The driver and her two passengers exited the vehicle, surveyed the situation, and determined that a tow truck would be required to free the automobile from the median.
As the driver and her passenger sitting in the rear were reaching into the vehicle to retrieve their belongings, the driver inadvertently caused the vehicle to be put in motion and accelerated the vehicle while it was in reverse.
The driver and the passenger were ejected from the vehicle through the open doors on the driver's side of the vehicle when the vehicle swerved to the right. The vehicle continued in reverse across the west boulevard and came to rest against a set of concrete stairs for the church.
At the request of the family, the name of the deceased will not be released by Halton Regional Police Service.

On Wednesday May 8, 2019 at 1958hrs, Halton Regional Police were dispatched to Valleyridge Drive south of Dundas Street in the Town of Oakville, for a motor vehicle collision involving serious injuries. Emergency services personnel attended the scene and found two females who were suffering with head injuries and required immediate care.
An 84 year old Burlington resident was taken to local hospital in serious condition and a 92 year old Oakville resident was taken to a trauma centre in life threatening condition.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit attended the scene and assumed responsibility for the investigation. It would appear that the vehicle involved in the collision became stuck on the curb. As the driver attempted to reverse, she fell out of the open driver's door and a pedestrian was struck as the vehicle was moving.
