Pushers of Cocaine and Fentanyl charged

Halton Regional Police charged two suspected pushers of cocaine and fentanyl, after a routine traffic stop in Oakville on Monday, May 13, 2019 . The police proactively conduct patrols of certain areas around town.

In this case, the Halton Police were patrolling around Cross Avenue and Trafalgar Road, which is close to the Oakville GO station.

During the routine stop the officers developed grounds that the two suspects possessed controlled substances. After a search of the vehicle, they found and seized cocaine, crack cocaine, fentanyl and cannabis. The police arrest end then charged both the driver and the passenger.

Charges facing the suspected pushers

27 year-old man from Mississauga:

Possession for the purpose of trafficking (6 counts)

Trafficking a controlled substance

Possession of a controlled substance

26 year-old man from Brampton:

Possession for the purpose of trafficking (3 counts)

Trafficking a controlled substance

Both accused parties were held in custody pending bail hearings.

Then on Tuesday May 14, 2019, the Halton Regional Police Service executed a search warrant at a residence of the charged 27 year-old in Mississauga.  While searching the home, the police located additional crack cocaine and oxycodone.

In total, the Police seized:

  • Fentanyl (11 grams)
  • Cocaine (8 grams)
  • Crack cocaine (2.8 ounces)
  • Oxycodone (4 tablets)
  • Cannabis (42 grams)

All amounts are approximately.

The estimated street value of the controlled substances seized is $6,000.
