Rainfall and Wind Warnings from Tuesday Evening to Wednesday Afternoon

Environment Canada has issued a Rainfall and Wind Warnings for Oakville. Rainfall and Wind warnings have not been issued together very frequently.

There is the potential for 15 to 25 mm of rain starting this evening and ending early Wednesday morning according to the Weather Network.

Sustained winds of 45 to 52 km per hour will commence Wednesday morning, and should end by late Wednesday afternoon. Gusts are forecast to reach 81 km per hour during the afternoon.

Wind gusts to 90 km/h Wednesday.

A cold front will move across the regions early Wednesday morning. Strong westerly winds will develop in its wake with gusts to 90 km/h expected at times Wednesday.

Winds will gradually begin to diminish Wednesday evening.

These winds may produce power outages in some places.

Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage.

A Colorado low is approaching. Rainfall of 15 to 30 mm is expected tonight with locally higher amounts possible in a few locales.
