A Rainfall Warning was issued for Oakville by Environment Canada for April 6, 2017 and is expected to last until Friday, April 7, 2017. A rainfall warning is issued when rain fall accumulation is expected to reach between 20 to 25 mm and the ground is already saturated.
So grab your Wellies, rain coat and umbrella, because you'll need them for the next 24 hours.
Traffic is bound to be effected, so give yourself a little extra time to get where ever you need to go. And speaking of safety, remember the creeks and streams are running very high and very fast, so keep your children a safe distance from running water.

Total rainfall amounts of 20 to 35 mm are expected.
Areas of rain are gradually spreading across Southern Ontario. The rain will become more organized today and may fall fairly heavy at times in some areas. The rain will change to snow late today or tonight.
A few centimetres of snow are expected tonight except closer to 2 near Lake Ontario. The snow will taper off early Friday.
Also, strong northerly winds gusting up to 70 km/h may be expected tonight causing some local blowing snow.
Rainfall warnings are issued for amounts of 25 mm or more in 24 hours or less when the ground is saturated. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
