Found: Safa Mushtaq - missing person - Police request assistance

Niagara Regional Police have indicated that they found the body of Safa Mushtaq, and no foul play was suspected. No further information is being provided out of respect for the family.

The Halton Regional Police Service is asking for the public's assistance in looking for a missing 27 year old woman, Safa Mushtaq in the Oakville community of River Oaks. Halton Regional Police issued a press release on Friday, July 7, 2017. On Monday, July 10,2017, Halton Regional Police announced the Ms. Mushtaq was located in the City of Niagara.

The Service would like to thank members of the media and public for their ongoing support of police appeals for assistance.

Safa Mushtaq was last seen on foot by her family in the area of Dundas St/ Neyagawa Blvd on Friday night  at approximately 5:00 p.m. Police did not clarify if this person has been missing today or a previous Friday. Once we have been given clarification, we will provide further information. Police did clarify that Safa went missing on July 7, 2017.

Safa Mushtaq is described as

  1. approximately 5'6" tall
  2. brown eyes
  3. slim to medium build
  4. shoulder length black hair that was tied up in a bun

Safa doesn't have access to a vehicle, and is believed to still be on foot somewhere in the area. She is believed to be alone. Safa's cell phone is still active, and she has a noticeable pink, glittery case for it. She was last seen in grey tights, a green shirt or sweater, and running shoes with black stripes in the design.
