Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at 4:56 AM for Oakville.Environment Canada is predicting significant rainfall during today until Monday, November 6, 2017.

According to the Weather Channel there is a 90 percent chance of rain today, with a possible accumulation of 36mm for the Town of Oakville. This afternoon, there is a chance of thunderstorms, with wind coming out of the South-West at 27 km. Today's high is expected to reach 16 degrees.

If you are heading out today, you'll need your raincoat, umbrella, and rubber boots.

Significant rainfall today and tonight.

Periods of rain will continue today into tonight. The rain may fall heavily at times. Rainfall amounts of 25 to 40 mm are possible. Some thunderstorm activity is also possible which would cause locally higher rainfall amounts.

After a brief lull in the precipitation this afternoon, additional rain and possible thunderstorms are expected to move back into the area later this afternoon or early evening.

Drier weather is expected to move in by early Monday morning as the weather system responsible moves out of the area.
