Starting this afternoon according to Weather Canada, you'll need your parka as well as your rubber boots. A warm weather system is going to collide with a cold front starting this afternoon. With this weather system we'll have the potential of seeing snow. As the warmer air pushes its way through rain will start to replace the snow. So if you don't need to be out tonight, you would do everyone a favour by staying home and watching Netflix.
The Weather Network is forecasting that we have a 60 percent chance of rain at 2:00 PM, and between 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM is when there is a 60 percent potential of snow fall mixed with rain. 15mm to 25mm of rain is expected to fall from this evening into early Saturday morning.
Creeks and streams are already moving fast and high, and with a steady East wind of 30 to 40 km per hour, there will be strong waves along the Oakville shoreline. Be cautious around the large bodies of water.

A low pressure system over Missouri will track towards Southern Ontario in the next couple of days.
Precipitation associated with this system is expected to reach areas southwest of a line from Wingham-Blyth-Northern Huron County to Hamilton during the day today, then spread into the Toronto - Barrie corridor later this afternoon. It will likely begin as some snow mixed with rain, then change over to rain by Thursday evening. Periods of rain will then continue through much of Friday before tapering off Friday night. Total rainfall amounts in the 15 to 25 mm range are possible.
There is also a risk of freezing rain late today in a few areas before the mixed precipitation changes to rain.
Caution is advised for travel due to potentially slippery roads prior to the changeover to rain.
