Halton Regional Police Oakville Division tweeted that Speers Road west bound has been closed. A multiple vehicle collision at Cross Avenue and Speers Road caused the closure. Speers has been opened - 9:36 AM.
Speers Road west bound has been closed from Kerr Street to Cross Avenue.
Police are at the scene of the accident along with the requested salt truck and other emergency services.
Only one lane eastbound lane on Speers Road is open to traffic at Cross Avenue.
The Halton Regional Police request drivers to avoid the area until the road has been re-opened.
The road will be closed for a couple of hours until the scene has been cleared. The morning rush hour for people coming out of Glen Abbey and areas west who are heading for the Oakville GO Station should expect considerable delays.
