In September, 2018, the communities of St. James Catholic Elementary School and St. Joseph Catholic Elementary school in Oakville came together to form the new St. Nicholas Catholic Elementary School community. This new community is currently being housed at the former St. James school site (255 Morden Road) as they await the construction of their new school building.

On February 12th, Halton Catholic District School Board students, staff, trustees, along with members of the community will gather to witness the ground-breaking of the new St. Nicholas school building.

The Honourable Lisa Thompson, Minister of Education, will be in attendance for the ground-breaking. Mayor of Oakville, Rob Burton, and Oakville MPP, Stephen Crawford, will also be in attendance.
